West Gippsland Chorale Inc is an auditioned community choir based in Warragul. Founded in 1985, the West Gippsland Chorale consists of some of the district’s most talented singers, and has established a strong reputation within Gippsland’s choral community for their exciting and diverse performances. Its wide repertoire includes classical choral music of all periods (sacred and secular), madrigals, folk songs from a range of cultures, contemporary compositions (including by Australian composers), and jazz and pop standards. It includes both larger works and programs of short pieces. There are usually three concerts each year: Autumn, Spring, and Christmas, with two performances of each program over one weekend.

Stories Through Song
The theme for this series is ‘Stories through Song…’ which reminds us of the power of music, and the power of singing together to convey stories. The stories within the repertoire may bring to mind a personal life event, the story of a reaction to historical events, or the stories and reminiscences of emotions which are held within poems.
Friday 2nd June at 8.00pm
Sunday 4th June at 2.00pm
Both concerts will be held at Wesley of Warragul, 64 Victoria St, Warragul
Tickets will be available from Need2Read in Warragul, at 25B Victoria Street, online via trybooking and at the door. Our sincere thanks to Need2Read for their continuing support.
